  Awful - I was shopping with my fourteen year old for makeup. There wasn't the colours on the shelf and the staff were busy so I opened one drawer at the bottom of the shelving just to check and see if they had the pressed powder in the colour we wanted. Then one of the assistants - grey blond long hair and glasses- in a raised voice from the middle of the isle, 'LADIES DO NOT to open the drawers as WE have had lots of shop lifters and they have cameras here' or something to that effect, loud enough to completely embarrass my daughter and I. I turned round whilst still crouching and said 'I wasn't a shop lifter!' The woman then asked very sharply 'what did I want?' I explained the colour I was after and stated 'we haven't got any'. That's all fine about the products but there is way of asking customers not to open the drawers. Perhaps coming up to us directly and asking if she could help for one, not waving her arms from the middle of the isle. I must admit I was very embarrassed and was made to feel like a young teenage girl doing something inappropriate in the store rather than a 43 year old woman about to buy £50 worth of goods. If my daughter hadn't wanted them I would have put them back. My daughter was very upset at the accusation or rather the implication of shop lifting and I suggest that if Boots do not wish customers to open the drawers at the bottom of the shelving then they lock them. I will not be visiting this store unless I really really have to.
